Our Mission
At PJ Venom : Reptile and Wildlife Rescue , our mission is to protect those that do not have a voice of their own. We believe that every reptile and animal deserves a chance at life and we work tirelessly to ensure that they receive the care and attention they deserve.
Our Team
Our team of dedicated volunteers are passionate about wildlife conservation and are committed to providing the highest level of care to every reptile and animal we receive. We work together with other facilities and wildlife professionals to ensure that every animal receives the attention and care they need to thrive and gets the chance of life they deserve.
Our History
Our founder, Petrus Pretorius, has over 20 years experience in the field and is also a qualified paramedic. During his career he came across many snakebite cases and realized that there is a lack of knowledge among medical professionals. He decided to become involved with reptiles and wildlife after completing required courses. Today, Petrus can provide expert assistance on snakebite treatment, snake identification and snake handling. Combining his years of experience as a paramedics and his love for reptiles and wildlife, PJ Venom was born.
